Our currently designated restoration/construction phases are as follows:

  • Phase 1: Restoration of the original 1948 curved, painted copper roof.  Requires removal of the sloped flat roof which was added above it in the 1960's.  The secondary roof helped to preserve the original roof underneath - of which we will take proper care using modern preservation techniques.
  • Phase 2: Inside restoration work and all new equipment in the rear kitchen.  All new electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning/heating for the entire building.
  • Phase 3: Buildout of a very nice 50-seat additional dining room in the basement (Yes, the building already has a basement, and it even has windows!)  It will be perfect for your next large group meeting - birthday parties, club meetings, special functions).
  • Phase 4: Reinstallation of the Triangle Diner Signs (they are being repainted and the neon is being repaired).  Both the large rooftop sign and the parking lot clock sign will be returned to the site.
  • Phase 5: Parking lot repaving, landscaping, and trees.
  • Phase 6: Taste testing and perfection of our delicious menu selection.
  • Phase 7: Grand opening!
